Martin L. Kaiser III

Martin L. Kaiser III is an American electronics engineer, inventor, and entrepreneur best known for his work in surveillance, counter-surveillance, and electronic detection systems.

He began his career at RCA Laboratories in Princeton, New Jersey, working on image conversion and low-light television pickup tubes. During this period, he has been associated in various accounts with early work involving image intensifier technology and related innovations in electronics.

In 1965, he founded Martin L. Kaiser, Inc., where he developed and manufactured electronic surveillance, counter-eavesdropping systems, and bomb detection/disposal equipment. His company reportedly supplied equipment to a wide range of government, military, and law enforcement agencies in the United States and abroad.

Kaiser is also a memoirist. He is the author of “Help Yourself! A Story of FBI Corruption” and “Odyssey of an Eavesdropper,” which detail his career in the surveillance industry and his later legal and professional disputes involving U.S. government agencies.

Across his career, he has been described as a pioneer in technical surveillance countermeasures (TSCM) and a controversial figure due to his whistleblower claims and litigation connected to his work with federal agencies.”
