Cyrus Zal

Author Bio

The author is a practicing lawyer in Folsom, California. He is an Iranian-American immigrant who grew up in America. He attended the University of California at Berkeley from 1966 to 1971 and experienced the upheavals and mini-revolutions which occurred every year he was there — the rebellious and sometimes violent anti-war movement when the Vietnam War was raging, the hippie movement with the Flower People spreading their version of love, the People’s Park tragic event where 2,000 National Guard Soldiers had to be summoned to restore order and peace, and the other historic happenings of that time. He was in Iran before, during, and after the Iranian Revolution in 1979 and experienced and witnessed the world-changing events of that Revolution and writes about those events as an eyewitness in the streets who personally observed the Revolution up close. During his crazy years of 1967 to 1985, he was a hopeless and lost drug addict who was arrested for wild and crazy behavior multiple times in America and one time in Iran after the Revolution. This book will probably result in disbarment proceedings being instituted against him by the State Bar of California. If you want to know why, read the book!
