For anyone who’s a romance novel connoisseur, this book is comfort food. With its typical alternating points of view and an ending that’s sure to leave you satisfied, it doesn’t do much to subvert your expectations- but that’s not what keeps us reading these things anyway.

The cover might lead you think that the story is pretty sultry, but it focuses more on the emotional than the physical. It’s pretty wholesome, surprisingly, which seems to be getting rare in this genre. So, if you dream of a seaside escape with lighthouses, sea gulls, a hot cup of clam chowder, and a smoldering guy to keep you company, you’ll enjoy your time with this one.
