William B Evans (Bill)

Bill Evans grew up in Sarasota, FL in the 1960’s. Playing on Major League fields fueled lessons from mentors, coaches and especially teammates to transform awkwarda teenage growth spurs into five tool skills. Little League, Babe Ruth, high school and college. You played avoiding the Grim Reaper, the person who takes your last uniform. The game humbles everyone by taking the “me” out of “team”. For Bill this made for success from Army basic training through life as a Navy Chaplain. Now retired from 35+ years of pastoral ministries, Bill enjoys life with Gwen, 5 funny and skilled adult children, and being Grandpa to 12, just enough to form teams and say, “Let’s play two.”
