Rollie Fultz

Born in East Kentucky on the western slopes of the Appalachian Mountains, he was the son of a moonshiner. With his Dad in prison most of his young life it was all left for his Mom to raise him and his siblings. She brought them up with strength and integrity which lives in them still. Being one of seven children that grew up in a house in the far reaches of a hollow; education was something hardly ever thought about. However, he loved to listen to old timers tell stories of their lives and things that had happened in the mountains in the past. Looking back over the years later and remembering those stories he became inspired to write about the mountains he loved and how the people lived there.
