“I waited far too long to write a book. Initially, I started with a children’s book, but then my memoir poured out of me as if it needed to be shared. My hope is that it will help others never give up. I used to tell my kids, ‘Every day is another day.’ I’d remind them to search for the good after a bad day. I studied writing and journalism at SUNY Niagara in Sanborn, New York. Though life overwhelmed me at times, I’m grateful to have finally found my voice.” Writing my memoir was like defeating my past. Writing is jumping off a bridge of despair into self-awareness.
