The Psychic Sisters Of Oleander Street

STORY SYNOPSIS

One ghost makes love to Frances. Other ghosts beg Stella and Jodie for help. The last one is a demon that is out to murder them. None of these three sisters want to be stuck with them at their grandmother’s massive mansion much less be together. But they must. Their grandmother’s will states that they must revive their psychic abilities to rid the mansion—and the world— of a terrifying demonic force. Otherwise, they lose their inheritance which is badly needed.
Their grandmother had left instructions to force the women to remember the psychic abilities they had as children. As adults they rejected these abilities and now can’t access them fully. It’s Stella’s 14-year-old daughter Mim traveling alone across the country, unbeknownst to anyone, who shows them how to revive their psychic senses.
It’s a battle for survival against a malevolent demon— even as the sisters fight the ghosts of their own pasts.

Reviews:

This book is a genuine page-turner that I found impossible to put down. The story centers around the lives of three sisters, exploring their current and past relationships, and how they navigate the challenges life throws at them.
What really captivated me was the depth of the characters, especially how they each grapple with their personal struggles. One sister’s history is marked by unresolved trauma, which adds a profound layer to the story. This trauma isn’t just a backdrop but a driving force that shapes her interactions and decisions throughout the narrative. The way the author portrays her journey towards confronting and healing from this trauma is both heart-wrenching and inspiring.
The ghosts in the story, while supernatural, serve as powerful symbols reflecting the characters’ inner conflicts and past regrets. They blend seamlessly into the narrative, enhancing the emotional depth and highlighting the themes of reconciliation and growth.
The sisters’ relationships are portrayed with such nuance and authenticity. Their evolving dynamics and the way they learn to support each other through their personal trials create a moving and relatable portrait of family.
Overall, this book is a beautifully written exploration of family bonds, personal trauma, and emotional healing. If you appreciate stories that delve deeply into character development and emotional complexity, with a touch of the supernatural, this one is definitely worth reading. It’s a story that lingers with you long after the final page.

The Psychic Sisters of Oleander street is a must read if you love a good story with both a mystery
and a long buried secret plus the added thrill of the supernatural… good and bad.
The three sisters: Francis, Stella and Jodie, each, with their own personal issues
and agendas, unite to face the challenge of removing an evil ghost haunting the Oleander
Mansion. A mansion the sisters will inherit (only if they succeed within a short time limit.)
The events that follow their arrival are full of drama, surprises, clues, trickery, destruction, the
threat of death and the joy of family love. In between the accidents, discoveries and scary events
are the playful antics by the children spirits who are in search of their own HEA. Love them!
This is a beautifully written, cleverly crafted story about facing life challenges in spite of fear.

This book grabs you from the first page and keeps delivering surprises—a big old mansion full of mysteries, psychic phenomena, a challenge set by a dead woman that brings out hilarious yet touching and authentic relationships between sisters, friends, lovers, departed ancestors, and ghosts.

I’ve been waiting for Dana Precious to take us readers back to Muskegon and Bear Lake ever since I devoured her brilliant Born Under a Lucky Moon, so this book has been long overdue! Love the story, the writing, and all the delicious details.
