Lisa Trout

Lisa created the Little Chewz family for children to learn more about food in a hands-on, themed, integrated way. A mom of two, teacher, certified Health Coach, and cook, she infuses this experience into all programs and books in a fun and easy way. Lisa develops kids cooking activities that are easy for parents and teachers to use in the kitchen, classroom, or the community. She dedicated her master’s degree in Education to continue her work on building intergenerational connections through storytelling and recipe restoration. She advocates bringing food into the classroom for learning essential life skills, language, history, and environmental sustainability.
