Darkness Before the Dawn

Darkness before the Dawn is a book of poetry inspired by the life of the author, Charles Gates Jr. Each poem, quote/saying and short story has been written from a chapter in the author’s life. Similar to a diary, “Darkness before the Dawn,” speaks of a magnificent tale of Sorrow, Loss, Depression and Love, all of which Charles had to endure during his fight for something greater in life. But before you can see a rising sun, you must first make it through the dark of the night.
