Rotha Dawkins was born in Lexington, North Carolina. Went to New York University and Mayer School of Dress Design in NYC, and received a degree in draping and fashion design. She returned to her hometown in 1975 and hosted a weekly talk show on WBUY for several years. Over the years, she has been written up in most major state magazines, newspapers, and on many radio and television stations as a guest on Johnny Carson’s “Who Do You Trust” and several New York shows. She was also labeled as the “Trucker Romance Writer” and People Magazine did a 2-page story on Rotha in December 2001. She was also featured in the Great Dane Trailer publication. RPM Magazine’s Gary Bricken has also reviewed her boos for their trucking monthly magazine and the list goes on and on.
