Naming and describing your characters: does the character fit someone you know? Do you recommend it?

Yes typically my characters are loosely based on someone I know. That for me makes them more real, especially as interact with others in the story , these incidents may have occurred in real life- I then add my fictional twist/nuance to it and bring it to life. Yes I would recommend doing it, it also means you have something tangible to frame your character from – J W Nelson
