This book is much more than I anticipated. I never realized how intense my brother’s life was as a police officer. He survived a shooting that he wasn’t supposed to from a job that was his life. The trials and tribulations of his marriage during that time. His emotions changing from day to day, never realizing that everyday could be his last. That shooting forever changed his life and took away his life as a proud police officer. This book is a really great read for law enforcement as well as the ‘Blues’ families and friends.

I have over 40 years in law enforcement. This is very good read for those who are contemplating a career in law enforcement, or other emergency services for that matter. It touches upon many issues that should be taken into consideration before even taking an entrance exam. If married or have a relationship the partner should read it as well. It points out many issues that will become issues in the relationship.

I know this author personally. His stories are amazing and the way he conveys them, has a way of taking serious topics, and delivering them in a way that is easy for the general public to understand. I highly recommend anything this author would write

Yes. He’s my brother. But that doesn’t mean I can’t be impartial. To be honest, I don’t read a lot. But I had to support my brother. This was a really good book. I strongly recommend it to anyone considering law enforcement.
